Program:  Minimalist Photography Simplifying Your Images with Jerry Sargent

“The definition of Minimalism is very broad and can include multiple genres. Whether you are trying to achieve a minimalist image or not, most images can benefit from removing distractions and drawing attention to the subject. This presentation will cover ways to simplify and focus attention on the subject of your images both in the field and during post processing.”

About Jerry: Jerry is a retired Veterinarian and US Army Officer. In 2014, while stationed in Japan, he joined the photography club and started to develop his interest in photography. His passion for outdoor activities and photography soon melded into his interest in landscape photography.

Procedure when arriving

Please find your name tag at the table when you walk in, then locate the attendance sheet on the table and check off your name. You can also see if you are up to date on your dues. If not, you can pay Winifred Simon at the meeting, or other options below.

Member Photo Share Theme:  Fall

“Fall is a season of dramatic happenings in nature. Trees go from greens to golds, birds and butterflies migrate, weather displays more diversity. And don’t forget festivals, holidays, sports, and harvests. It’s finally cool enough to get outdoors and take pictures, and to Share them.” – Bill Galloway

You are encouraged to send 2 images for this part of the meeting, on this topic … or another if you prefer. Please rename your images 1FirstName_LastName.jpg, 2FirstName_LastName.jpg and send to photos@jerrysargent.com no later than October 15th to make sure they are included. This is mostly a Show and Tell time, but if you are looking for a critique or help with an image, you are welcome to ask for that sort of feedback.

Annual dues are a bargain at $12 per year. If you haven’t renewed, you may pay at the meeting, or use our PayPal by using this link, or you can mail your check to Winifred Simon at 600 Red Hawk Road, Wimberley, TX  78676.
