Program: Travel Photography: How I Capture and Edit My Images with Jim Nix
About Jim Nix: Jim is a travel photographer, Youtuber and photo educator that focuses on landscapes and cityscapes. He has a colorful and expressive style and a strong preference for shooting at the edges of the day, where soft light and shadow help create the dramatic and moody sentiments his photographs embody.
He has led workshops, trained large and small groups, hosted webinars, taught at industry conferences, and has been named one of the top 100 travel photographers in the world.

Procedure when arriving
Please find your name tag at the table when you walk in, then locate the attendance sheet on the table and check off your name. You can also see if you are up to date on your dues. If not, you can pay Winifred Simon at the meeting, or other options below.
Member Photo Share Theme: Look Closely
“The obvious choice here is a macro. But … maybe it’s an image with an obvious subject and, noticeable only on a close look, a little unexpected object that makes the picture special. Or maybe there is a detailed texture or pattern that is an important element in the image. Or maybe one of those clouds in your skyscape looks like Elvis. Scour your files for photos where little things mean a lot.” – Bill Galloway
You are encouraged to send 2 images for this part of the meeting, on this topic … or another if you prefer. Please rename your images 1FirstName_LastName.jpg, 2FirstName_LastName.jpg and send to photos@jerrysargent.com no later than September 17th to make sure they are included. This is mostly a Show and Tell time, but if you are looking for a critique or help with an image, you are welcome to ask for that sort of feedback.
