Program: Journey to the Zimanga Wildlife Preserve, South Africa by Patty Robertson
About Patty: Originally from San Antonio, Patty has been a resident of Dripping Springs, Texas since 1995. Growing up as an Air Force brat, she also spent a dozen years living around the United States, including the Catskills in New York, Fairbanks, Alaska, the beaches of Florida, the plains of Iowa and the plains of Montana, where she developed her love for the outdoors and nature. After studying photography in undergraduate school, then working on Capitol Hill in DC, then practicing law for three decades, Patty now devotes all of her time to photography. Her lifelong passion for photography is focused upon the best use of light, space and time.
Whether it’s seeking out wildlife or landscapes in remote locations or creating architectural abstracts, Patty uses her camera to tell the best story possible for the subject. Shooting with both DSLR and Mirrorless Canon cameras, her areas of interest and expertise include wildlife, landscapes, macro, abstracts, editorial and portraits.

From Bill Galloway: “This is a term I learned on an Alaska photo safari. In Alaska, it’s bears, moose, caribou, whales, etc. In Texas, it would be a bit different: longhorns, foxes, armadillos, really big birds etc. Anyway, after last month’s theme focused on mechanical objects, it’s time to take a tour through the world of animals.” You are encouraged to send 2 images for this part of the meeting, on this topic…or another if you prefer. Please rename your images 1FirstName_LastName.jpg, 2FirstName_LastName.jpg and send to photos@jerrysargent.com no later than May 14th to make sure they are included.
